Play Therapy Toys - Dr. Geoffrey Carr -

After 30 years of working with children as a play therapist, I am retiring and will be giving away my toys and supplies! I’d like to donate them to a person or group who is just starting up in this profession. I’m wanting them to find a new home where they will be well-used by someone/people who might not be able to afford them at this point in their career.

My own setup was for a flexible space, where I would see children for play therapy at some times, and then put the toys away when working with adults or couples. So, the toy bin racks are on wheels, and there are three large wheeled tubs for storing other toys.

Below are over 100 photos of the toys and equipment being offered. They include a variety of costumes, many head masks of animals, over 20 hand puppets, stuffies and teddy bears, a Playmobile farm, police cruiser, and many Playmobile people of different ages. There is also a Playmobile railway set. Included are numerous animal figures including domestic animals, wild animals, reptiles, insects, and marine animals. There is also a group of dinosaurs with their infants hatching out of their eggs. There is a bin full of cars and other vehicles, marbles, and balls. There are play foods, play dinner place settings, play food prep appliances and utensils. I have a few dolls and some toy soldiers. There is even an old fashioned doll house and furniture (from Dr. Alan Cashmore’s daughter, if you want some original BC play therapy history! i.e. of the Alan Cashmore Centre. Alan taught Dr. John Allan play therapy, and his daughter happens to be my wife 🙂
